WestBay Gives

The Homes by WestBay commitment and valued relationships extend beyond our industry. We are dedicated to the growth and development of the city, towns and neighborhoods we call home. Our Tampa Bay community.

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay

A Kid's Place is a unique, state of the art, 60-bed facility for abused, neglected, or abandoned children. Our children range from newborns to kids ready to age out of the foster care system at 18. We've provided a home to over 1,300 children in our nine years of operation and assisted over 550 families.

Located on five acres in Brandon, Florida A Kid’s Place has five 3,200 square foot homes on an expansive tree-lined campus that provide a safe, home-like environment in a neighborhood setting. We use a live-in house parent model which provides the children with consistent caregivers and family style living.

“We are grateful for the support and generosity that Homes by West Bay gives to A Kid’s Place. Homes by West Bay is more than a community partner, they are a part of A Kid’s Place family!” - Brad Gregory - CEO

Florida Wildlife Corridor

The Florida Wildlife Corridor organization champions the public and partner support needed to permanently connect, protect and restore the Florida Wildlife Corridor – a statewide network of lands and waters that supports wildlife and people. Our organization has trekked 1,000 miles across Florida – twice – to demonstrate the need and opportunity to connect wild places in Florida.

Using a science-based approach, on-the-ground knowledge of the Corridor, and the support of thousands of followers throughout the state and nation, the Florida Wildlife Corridor now embarks on its most important journey – to accelerate the rate of conservation in Florida by 10% annually in order to protect 300,000 acres within the Corridor by the end of 2020.

“The Florida Wildlife Corridor is pleased to be a partner of Homes by WestBay. Utilizing engaging multi-media storytelling, the organization inspires citizens and partners to be advocates for conservation.” - Florida Wildlife Corridor

Straz Center for Performing Arts

Built on an abandoned gravel lot in a city that was lacking cultural offerings, the Straz Center began as the dream of a community. Today the Straz Center is the largest performing arts center in the Southeast and the only one with an on-site performing arts conservatory. The Straz Center was incorporated in 1980 and opened in 1987.

In the early 1990s, the Straz Center (then known as Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) established arts education as a community priority, working closely with area public, private and home school programs to enhance arts education for children throughout the seven-county Tampa Bay area.

Further, through our membership of the Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA), our team represents Homes by WestBay in support of other charities and local causes including: Habitat for Humanity, Paint Your Heart Out Tampa, REALTORS® Care Foundation of GTAR, Inc., Salvation Army, Trinity Café.

With a philosophy of good stewardship and neighborliness, Homes by WestBay proudly upholds a solid commitment of giving back and supporting our Tampa Bay community.
