WestBay Gives

The Homes by WestBay commitment and valued relationships extend beyond our industry. We are dedicated to the growth and development of the city, towns and neighborhoods we call home. Our Tampa Bay community.

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay

A Kid's Place is a unique, state of the art, 60-bed facility for abused, neglected, or abandoned children. Our children range from newborns to kids ready to age out of the foster care system at 18. We've provided a home to over 1,300 children in our nine years of operation and assisted over 550 families.

Located on five acres in Brandon, Florida A Kid’s Place has five 3,200 square foot homes on an expansive tree-lined campus that provide a safe, home-like environment in a neighborhood setting. We use a live-in house parent model which provides the children with consistent caregivers and family style living.

“We are grateful for the support and generosity that Homes by West Bay gives to A Kid’s Place. Homes by West Bay is more than a community partner, they are a part of A Kid’s Place family!” - Brad Gregory - CEO

AMIkids Tampa

AMIkids Tampa is a gender-specific day treatment program that provides education and prevention services annually to approximately 150 Hillsborough County young men, ages 11-17 (grades 6-12). Combining a variety of behavior management, educational, and vocational services, the AMIkids methodology, known as the AMIkids Personal Growth Model©, provides a comprehensive, long-term approach to reintegrating our youth into the local community. The nationally regarded model is built around the “kids-first” philosophy; focusing on consistently creating positive opportunities for kids to ensure their success. At our program, we ultimately want as many kids as possible to pursue higher education, vocational education, and/or employment. As part of this goal, we provide our kids with personalized class work, and engage our kids in community service projects. In addition, we offer vocational training courses that provide them with vital skills for high-demand jobs both nationally and locally.

Meals on Wheels

Meals On Wheels of Tampa’s home-delivered meal program provides hot nutritious meals to seniors and homebound individuals throughout the Great Tampa area. The daily hot meal provides NOURISHMENT for the body. The kind greeting from a volunteer provides ENRICHMENT for the soul. Together, we STRENGTHEN the community by caring for neighbors who have difficulty leaving their homes. For many of the neighbors served, the meal they receive will be the only food they eat that day, and the visit from a volunteer is the only personal contact. This allows for assured balanced nutrition and a wellness check-in, both of which bring comfort and security to them and for their families.

Meals on Wheels of Tampa serves from the County lines to the north and west, I-75 to the east, including Riverview and Gibsonton. Meals On Wheels of Tampa is a privately funded, 4-Star Charity and a proud member of Meals On Wheels America. We rely on the community for financial and volunteer support and do not accept any direct government funding.
